Summary: Three drunk guys were searched by the Peruvian police and then they found a shocking discovery. Inside a delivery cooler bag, there was an ancient mummy in the fetal position. The mummy was estimated to be between 600-800 years old and experts also believed that it was a forty-fiftyish male body (a man was over 45 years old when he died and became the mummy). In addition, the man who owns the bag claimed that the mummy belongs to his father but he has not mentioned the background. The guy pointed out the reason for bringing it out from his house was just to show off his friends. However, the mummy was now kept by Peru's ministry of culture and the man with his two friends is in the investigation process.

Reaction:  After reading this article, it has increased my interest in the history of an ancient mummy. I have been trying to understand how the mummy is made but science stuff is still too difficult for me to understand. Moreover, I have heard that there are many more mummies in Peru because 7000 years ago, their culture for making mummies was to remember those people and to connect with death. One thing I found it quite scary is that the man lives with mummy inside his house in his room next to the TV. Fortunately, the mummy is in the box 😭.

Question: How did his father own the mummy ? where did he get the mummy ?
Did he transport the mummy to some collector who is willing to buy it?

  1. Hi Dida,

Recently, I heard the news about mummies in Pakistan that were claimed as “Persian Princess” but from the investigation the scientist found out that she is not the Persian Princess, she is fake, but the mummy body is real human. The reason why I mentioned mummy in Pakistan is because I think the mummy in Peru might be in the same case (it would be fake and created for marketing issues) there must be someone behind this story.

    Thank you Dida
